CARBONDALE — Martin Gomez stepped off the bus Tuesday afternoon, hard hat and work gloves in hand, and started walking toward home. A native of Chiapas, Mexico, Gomez came to the Roaring Fork Valley three years ago to work construction, roofing and landscaping jobs.
